The Binding Ingredient
Author: admin
Communication process is indeed the binding ingredient with which our lives are ordered in todays world. And all our knowledge and information is acquired through some medium of mass communication, for our world is an age that is mass-media oriented.
Newspapers which are read by millions of issues, relay news and opinion, entertainment and advertisements. Magazines likewise inform, entertain, and influence readers but since they do not appear as frequently as newspapers, they have more time to dig into issues and situations than newspaper. Books are invaluable tools of your educational pursuits. Whether paperbacks or hard cover volumes, they convey the heritage of the past, help us understand ourselves and the world we live in, and serve as well-springs of knowledge for all time. Billboards, pamphlets, and direct mail pieces bring the views of commercial and civic organizations. Television, and radio are “the electronic magic carpets that transport millions of persons each day to far away places”; they also bring direct coverage of public events as they happen, from where they happen. And even the film speak a universal language- they inform, persuade as well as entertain.
